Meet the breeder

When your puppy starts life as an American Dachshund, you get your wish! We practice selective breeding using veterinary inspection, DNA, OFA and allergy testing. See the difference!

Q. & A. with Elizabeth

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding begins with a love of the breed itself. Over 50 years ago, beginning in childhood, I was gifted a red smooth dachshund. Since then, I have always owned at least one. A dachshund advocate and aficionado there have been only 14 years of my life when I haven't owned a dachshund. Those were my first 14 years. Since then, I have not stopped educating myself and others on the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Imports. We choose the world's best based on pedigree and historical health. Then, we genetically test them all to learn the most appropriate stud and dam. That way you get not only the prettiest face with a bred-to-standard body, but one that translates into little to no health costs in your puppy's future. If you are a breeder, you will know you're adding quality to your lines: inside and out
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, cream, red, black and tan, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Elizabeth was amazing through the whole process. She has so much knowledge about the breed and cares so much about her dogs. Our puppy was in excellent health, was already comfortable in a crate, and was reasonably socialized. We’re happy to have found Elizabeth and would go to her first for any future furry additions to our family!

We had a great experience with Elizabeth. She answered all our questions promptly and kept us updated throughout the process. She sent pictures of our puppy, Lucy, whenever we asked. Everything discussed was delivered and we felt very comfortable working with Elizabeth. Not only was Elizabeth professional, but she was very trustworthy and kind. Lucy has brought us so much joy already! She's had her first vet visit with our veterinarian and her visit was excellent! Lucy loves running in our yard, playing with our grandkids, riding in the car and especially relaxing at our fishing camp!

Elizabeth was wonderful to work with! She was responsive, friendly, and was sure to follow-up after to see how our pup and my family and I were settling in. We can tell our puppy has been well cared for since birth. I would happily adopt another from her in the future!!❤️

I’ve owned dachshunds for 20 years, and this was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had getting a puppy. Elizabeth’s love and care for her dogs is obvious in every way. We’ve never had a puppy this healthy; usually parasites or deworming are a gross issue, but Dart came to us in perfect shape. He is truly the best: eager to please, sweet, incredibly soft, and so snuggly. His personality is amazing, and we are completely in love!

Elizabeth was amazing from my first message to our meet up and wonderful follow up. It meant alot that she had so much experience when we started out searching. She drove an hour in my direction to save me a couple hours during the holiday week which meant a lot. She passed on great information and has continued to be a great resource of information. We are so happy with our girl Sadie 💕
