I'm Amy S., the breeder behind Amy’s Mini Doxies located in Jena, LA. I'm a small, in-home breeder who values honesty and integrity. Dachshunds love to snuggle and are extremely loyal, protective of their people.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love the breed and wanted to share that with others. It is a wonderful experience to witness the birth and assist in the care of these babies. I love watching the many milestones as they grow. Even better is seeing these babies that I grow to love go to homes that will love them as much as I do.

  • What makes your program special?

    I purposely keep my program small so that I can care and spoil every puppy that is born in my care. I do genetic testing of all my breeding adults to ensure they can produce healthy babies.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amy

Amy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.
