I'm Katherine K., the breeder behind Angel Bay Maltese located in Dallas, TX. Our dogs are bred with a focus on health and temperament. They also reflect the beauty that is a Maltese. I am a nearly 20 year member of the American Maltese Association and I am an AKC Breeder of Merit. We breed champions who are also loving companions and agility, obedience and rally champions.
Q. & A. with Katherine
Why did you start breeding?
I used to show horses. Back surgery forced me out of that and I fell in love with a photo of a Maltese in full specials coat. I spent almost 9 years owning, showing and learning about Maltese, dogs in general, animal husbandry and health issues before I bred my first litter.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are conformation, obedience and agility champions, and some of them are all three! I am a proud member of the American Maltese Association and I abide by their Code of Ethics. We put health and temperament above small size and tiny muzzles. I try to breed dogs that will bring joy to me or their new owners for as long as possible without health issues, and be beautiful the entire time.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
