Antelope Springs Frenchies

Tay B.

Breeder of French Bulldogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Tay B., the breeder behind Antelope Springs Frenchies located in Filer, ID. I focus on temperament, confirmation, and genetics but maybe not in that order. All 3 are important. I’m not a breeder that’s going to have 3 litters a year. I am going for quality over quantity. These dogs are so special and deserve to go to the right homes that will love them as much as I do.

Q. & A. with Tay

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first female French Bulldog and fell in love. I want to share this breed with the world who so desperately needs to laugh. I have a passion for this breed. I have a cow/calf ranch and this fits our lifestyle. I get to take my dogs to work every day.
  • What makes your program special?

Puppies are home raised, AKC registered, heart, eyes checked always genetic tested. Stud dogs are always met in person and meet rigorous standards. Akc registered and also genetically tested clear for all known diseases.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Good level

Antelope Springs Frenchies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for French Bulldogs.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Aortic Valve Disease

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Animal Genetics Panel, Agouti DNA Test, Full Embark Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
