Meet the breeder

I'm Denise B., the breeder behind Anytime Dachshunds by D.B. located in Ben Wheeler, TX. Each of our breedings are planned according to conformation. All of our adults have excellent temperaments or they are not used for breeding. We strive to produce quality healthy pups. We do ENS, ESS & ETI on all our pups, setting them up for an easy and successful transition into their new homes. APRI or AKC bred with H.E.A.R.T. PET HOME ONLY. NO breeding rights.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Started showing English bulldogs. After a few years in the ring I met a wonderful person who would mentor me with breeding them. There is nothing greater than producing and showing your very own pups! I knew I would always be a breeder striving for that elusive perfect dog 😊

  • What makes your program special?

    With the help of family, we plan our breedings. Raised in our home. We follow the Ultimate Badass Breeders's Guide. Our dogs and pups are family members. Pups are handled and socialized daily. This makes for a well adjusted pup. Setting them up for continued success in their new homes. We only place our pups in pet homes only. No breeding rights.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black, chocolate and cream, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    My wife and I adopted two puppies from Denise. Half brothers that are about 3.5 weeks apart and we absolutely adore them. They have such different personalities but they get along so well and they’re so smart. They’ve picked up to potty training so quickly and after only 3 weeks of having them, we’ve got numerous days with no accidents. They’re amazing at using their doggy door. They’re so eager to learn. And they love people. Denise was wonderful to work with and does a great job desensitizing the puppies to a number of different things before adoption.
