I'm Sherri A., the breeder behind Apple Valley Dachshunds and Australian Shepherds located in Malaga, WA. We offer top-quality Miniature Dachshund and Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies. They are raised in our home and are well-loved. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. They are genetically health tested through Canine Health Check for their breed. We are dedicated to providing families with wonderful, healthy family pets. The Aussies are currently in training to herd our Nigerian Dwarf goats!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always loved animals and I strive to make the breed better and provide other families with the joy of a new puppy. Breeding is a labor of love and healthy beautiful dogs are the reward. It has been such a fulfilling journey so far!

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are raised indoors with us and are treated as part of the family. We go outside and play on our acre and a half and get the Zoomies out. Because I want each placement to be lifelong and each pup to thrive in their role, I try to find the perfect match for my puppies and buyers. It is my goal to find loving homes for my puppies and provide families and individuals with the Doxie or Aussie of their dreams!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are blue merle. Dachshund puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sherri

Sherri has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $900 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies receive a vet check, first shots, deworming, tail docking, dewclaw removal (as breed standard), and a puppy package which includes: transitional food, a blanket, toy, and medical records. We usually ask for half down to hold the puppy of your choice. I don't take deposits until after the puppies are born. Deposits are due when puppies are 7-10 days old and are growing.”

Contract & health guarantee

Sherri may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
