Meet the breeder

I'm Deidre B., the breeder behind Arena Valley Acres located in Parma, ID. At Arena Valley Acres we started our program with a love for Australian Shepherds. Eventually we added a poodle to our program. Aussiedoodles are a delight and I am amazed at the breed.  I believe in breeding for temperament and health first and raising excellent companion pets of high quality.

Q. & A. with Deidre

  • Why did you start breeding?

Research, research and more research. My children are grown and a breeding program was something I wanted to develop once I had more time to focus on it. I have a wonderful mentor who has helped guide me along the way. My program is small to keep it about the quality and enjoyment of breeding successfully and responsibly.
  • What makes your program special?

I put a lot of time and energy into developing my program to be of high quality. The proper diet, housing, exercise, training, whelping and socializing are a must for my program. I have invested in programs (Puppy Culture and BadAss Breeder) to help raise high-quality puppies. My dogs are all registered with the AKC and ASDR. I complete all health testing on my breeding dogs and they are clear.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Aussiedoodle puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Aussiedoodle puppies include brown and white, blue merle, red merle, black and white, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Deidre was very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. When I first reached out about our puppy, she responded quickly, providing quality information about the puppy we were specifically interested in. She allowed me to ask questions and we set up a video call appointment so I could see the puppy playing and visit with her. Every few days Deidre would send me updated photos and videos of our girl and provide updates on how she was doing. I really loved that I didn't have to beg for information. I felt like we were working together the whole time, to set up a nice transition for our puppy. She provided information and suggestions for toys, aussiedoodle specific items, treats, etc. Our beautiful new addition came home with a puppy bag full of goodies to help her feel comfortable and acclimate easily. I feel like Deidre genuinely cares about the wellbeing and comfort of the puppies. If you are looking for your own new addition, I can't recommend Deidre highly enough. She was amazing to work with!
