Meet the breeder

I'm Deidre B., the breeder behind Arena Valley Acres located in Parma, ID. At Arena Valley Acres we started our program with a love for Australian Shepherds. Eventually we added a poodle to our program. Aussiedoodles are a delight and I am amazed at the breed.  I believe in breeding for temperament and health first and raising excellent companion pets of high quality.

Q. & A. with Deidre

  • Why did you start breeding?

Research, research and more research. My children are grown and a breeding program was something I wanted to develop once I had more time to focus on it. I have a wonderful mentor who has helped guide me along the way. My program is small to keep it about the quality and enjoyment of breeding successfully and responsibly.
  • What makes your program special?

I put a lot of time and energy into developing my program to be of high quality. The proper diet, housing, exercise, training, whelping and socializing are a must for my program. I have invested in programs (Puppy Culture and BadAss Breeder) to help raise high-quality puppies. My dogs are all registered with the AKC and ASDR. I complete all health testing on my breeding dogs and they are clear.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Aussiedoodle puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Aussiedoodle puppies include brown and white, blue merle, red merle, black and white, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Our experience was exceptional! Deidra was very responsive and informative. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a healthy, happy puppy. We are located in Florida and she was able to set us up with a Flight Nannie to get our new puppy to her new home! Great experience!

Deidre was a gem to work with!! She was patient and supportive with our questions before we bought a Puppy and she has continued that after bringing puppy home! She provided us with a superb puppy go home pack! Our puppy is thriving and has a perfectly playful, confident, affectionate personality. We love Deidre and our new puppy!

Our family had been searching for a puppy for months when we came across Deidre’s program. We fell in love with one of the available puppies who would be ready to go home in just 2 weeks. This was the first puppy for our family so we had A LOT of questions. Deidre was super patient in answering all of our questions. She was very communicative, responsive, and knowledgeable. More than that, she truly cares about her dogs and their puppies. She sent us many photos and videos and told us more about our puppy, his personality, and how to be successful with raising him. We could not be happier! We are so thrilled to have Arlo as part of our family and he is just as Deidre described. I would highly recommend Deirdre to any friends/family looking for a wonderful aussiedoodle!!!

Details about our puppy was discussed thoroughly at our meeting. She helped prepare us for our first few weeks. Our pup Hoku is such a joy to have around.
