I'm Angelique T., the breeder behind BurningEmbers located in St Cloud, MN. To breed high quality, sound dogs that excel both in the show ring and as family companions. Breeding is an ongoing process of analysis and improvement. I am committed to health testing and will be expanding the testing of my dogs. I strive to produce dogs with proper confirmation and head type.

Why did you start breeding?
My parents bred Great Pyrenees. I still to this day keep in touch with Pyrenees people and do events with them. I always wanted a Newfoundland but waited until my own children were old enough to be apart of the puppy raising process.What makes your program special?
I have a belief, if you are going to do something do it right. My program is small enough that I try to meet and connect with every buyer. I try to be there for questions and concerns. Essentially my buyers are extended family. I also put my heart and soul into each and every puppy. The night before the first puppy leaves I take that last photo of them all together. My last thought is, I try yo breed puppies with correct heads, nice bone, and movement.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and black, black, and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
"Price includes an AKC puppy that comes with limited registration (co-ownership for show dog). Puppy will be microchipped, vaccinated, de-wormed, heart tested, vet checked, with health guarantee. Deposits are non-refundable unless I can not fulfill your requested gender/color. I do allow buyers to move their deposit to a future litter 1 time."

BurningEmbers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Newfoundlands.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Cystinuria Type 1A, Newfoundland Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
