Jeri R.

Breeder of Shih Tzus

Meet the breeder

I'm Jeri R., the breeder behind Arizona Shih Tzu located in Surprise, AZ. We have raised Shih Tzu puppies in our home for over 25 years. They are an amazing breed that is loving lap puppies! We work in our home and this allows one of us to be with our dogs and puppies 24-7! Some of our dogs are Champion sired, many have Champion lines, some do not, although they all have sweet dispositions!

Q. & A. with Jeri

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was given an amazing Shih Tzu named Cami as a gift and when she passed away I was so full of grief I didn't ever want another dog and said she never had puppies. My husband really knew me better than myself and brought me home a new girl named Chloe. Then we got her Keno and thought we would just have one litter and fell in love with the whole process. I learned so much since then well over 27 years ago.
  • What makes your program special?

Providing healthy happy puppies to families. We have Champion sired dogs and have shown our dogs so their confirmation is excellent and have exceptional baby doll faces with sweet loving playful temperaments.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include tricolor, cream and white, chocolate, black, liver, gold, red, silver, liver and white, silver gold and white, gold and white, red and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
