I'm Macy H., the breeder behind Arkie Rooted Aussies located in Sheridan, AR. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I’ve always wanted to start a very small breeding program after I got my first Aussies.What makes your program special?
Our dogs are a big part of our family and very smart and our puppies will be the same!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, red tri, red merle, and red. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, red, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Macy
Macy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“The price includes ASDR registration, first round of vaccines, deworming, puppy socialization, and a puppy goody bag. To reserve a specific puppy, a nonrefundable $300 deposit is required, deducted from the total balance, with the remaining balance due upon pickup.”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 8 (NCL8), Australian Shepherd Type, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 6 (NCL 6), Day Blindness, Achromatopsia, Craniomandibular Osteopathy (CMO), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Canine Multifocal Retinopathy (cmr3; BEST1 Exon 10 SNP), DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
