I'm Marlys S., the breeder behind Artesian Labradors located in Marysville, WA. We are a small hobby kennel breeding quality Labrador. We strive to breed dogs for health, performance, and temperament. Our dogs make wonderful performance dogs as well as companions. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy.
Q. & A. with Marlys
Why did you start breeding?
After purchasing our first registered dog, we had to spay her young as she had pyometra. While I could still do field, obedience, and agility with her I could not show her. This led me to co-own another girl with a breeder. She mentored me through breeding her when I became interested.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are born and raised in the house which gives them lots of socialization. Temperament is important for our breed as well as breeding sound/healthy dogs. I stand behind our puppies and will take them back at any time for any reason. I am always available for puppy buyers to help with any questions that arise.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
