Meet the breeder

I'm Kade P., the breeder behind Asgard Shetland Sheepdogs located in Elk, WA. I Welcome you to Asgard! The capital of the nine realms...Come and cross the Bifrost into our world of beautiful AKC shetland sheepdogs. We are located in WASHINGTON state but we do offer transportation. Yes our kennel name is inspired after the mythical city of Asgard, best known from its appearance in the Thor movies 😆. Our dogs are always fully health tested through OFA for hips and eyes, MDR1, VWD, PRA, CEA, DM and DMS. We participate in AKC events and attend shows regularly and have many champions and strive to produce healthy lifelong companions that live up to breed standard in temperament, health and quality. I send all my puppies home with a 2 year health guarantee and I take back any dog that can’t be kept.

Q. & A. with Kade

  • Why did you start breeding?

Shortly after high school I got my first sheltie as a pet, ended up adding another one and her breeder asked me if I would show her, went to my first dog show and started getting more active in the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We started out from nothing and struggled for acceptance into the dog show sport, with the help of my amazing breed mentors I am now on my way to the top. In the short period I’ve been in shelties (8 years) I have done so much co owned the number 1 sheltie conrad who broke history in the breed as well as I’ve produced and bred many champions and some of the best shelties!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
