I'm Sandy S., the breeder behind Asher Acres Labs located in Tekonsha, MI. Hi! Thank you so much for looking into our Labrador Retrievers. We are a small breeding program with 3 females & 2 males. The puppies will typically be yellow. We love our labs personalities and stunning looks! They are perfect family dogs, and have great potential for hunting and show.

Why did you start breeding?
A friend of mine had a couple of really nice AKC labs that she was raising. She suddenly had to move several states away and I took over her business. I love my dogs and finding out more about what they like to do too. I enjoy the puppies, and I am continually learning how to raise them better for their future owners!What makes your program special?
We enjoy finding dogs with good genetics and breeding them to better the species. I also have integrated some of the Puppy Culture method and desensitization techniques. I enjoy communicating with and caring for the puppies during their stay with me.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Price
“The price includes limited AKC registration, first shots, 3 sets of parasite control and many socialization situations. Full registration can be obtained with an increase in price. . A deposit of $500 will hold your choice of a male or female. Choice of puppy will depend on the when deposit is made. I usually take deposits for 2 males and 2 females before whelping.”

You just want to hug Lylah. She is so calm and sweet. I love to scoop her head into my hands and just give her a kiss. She looks at you with those adoring eyes and I just melt! Until, that is, till she gets outside. Then she turns into the playful, impish, lively girl that she is. Never crazy, she just has another side that is very fun-loving and certainly never boring! Easy to train and comes whenever I call.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Retinal Dysplasia/Oculoskeletal Dysplasia 1 (RD OSD), Elliptocytosis, Macrothrombocytopenia, Myotubular Myopathy, Labrador Retriever Type, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4), Skeletal Dysplasia (SD2), Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKD), Labrador Retriever Type, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Narcolepsy, Labrador Retriever Type, Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Sandy has been so kind and helpful. Unbelievable response time in answering questions. Truly, she has a motivation to respond or reply, but many people don’t. I would recommend her every time if asked. We pick Nilla-Vanills Ice Cream up on Saturday and look forward to meeting Sandy in person. Adding a new lab to our family was a big decision for us and part of that came down to choosing the right breeder. Much to our delight we found out that Asher Acres was expecting a litter. We already have an amazing lab that we picked up from Asher Acres in September 2018. From the very first contact Sandy was warm knowledgeable and passionate about her labrador retrievers. She seemed to want to make sure that the pups went to the right homes. At pickup we noticed the pups were raised in a clean, spacious and stimulating environment. The pups were very clearly well-socialized and most of all loved. The communication process was top notch. We received regular updates and pictures and videos if requested. Our experience was everything we hoped for. Poppy is now almost 10 weeks old and we are all in love with her!
