We breed to produce the best Australian Shepherds with a focus on health, temperament, and beauty and make sure they adhere to breed standards. Aussies are an incredibly active and intelligent breed that we are proud to represent them. They aren't for everyone but for the right person, they are everything!

Why did you start breeding?
After attending some conformation shows, I became interested in all of the abilities Australian Shepherds possess. I pursued agility and was hooked and amazed by the way they move so gracefully and with such speed. Our breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the Aussies while placing an emphasis on producing puppies of superior health, conformation, and drive.What makes your program special?

Our focus on structure, conformation, and unmatched intelligence brings us to the front of the pack. We have high expectations for our puppies and strive to place each one in an enriching and loving home!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

“I do not charge differently based on the puppy's color or gender, but the price on each litter may vary (based on the parent's titles and achievements). I do not take deposits until after pregnancy is confirmed.”

Parent health testing
Excellent level
Ashfall Australian Shepherds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Dentition, Standard Veterinary Blood Panel
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), DNA Profile, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Australian Shepherd Type, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
