I'm Kristi S., the breeder behind Ashwood Aussies located in Germantown, OH. We focus on placing our puppies in lifelong loving homes. Even though we are active in Conformation & Performance venues we realize many families just want a healthy and fun dog to add to their family. Our puppies are raised in our home with the puppy culture protocol.
Q. & A. with Kristi
Why did you start breeding?
Breeding is something I wanted to do from a young age. Once I become educated from my mentors and achieved my first Owner Handled champion and all the required health testing I had my first litter in 2017. I typically have one litter a year which I dedicate all my time to from the time they are born until they leave. I did not rush into breeding. It’s a passion for me to raise sound puppies.
What makes your program special?
Because I only have one litter a year I am able to spend a great deal of time raising my puppies. I take the time to socialize them and get to know their personality/ energy level and biddability I place my puppies based on best fit for the family. I understand color is important to some people but the most important thing a breeder can do it match the right puppy to the right family.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
