I'm Melissa P., the breeder behind Atlas Dachs located in Saint Augustine, FL. We offer top-quality Dachshunds for show or pet homes. They are bred for health and temperament and are of champion and AKC champion bloodlines. Our dogs also hold several other titles including Canine Good Citizen, American Temperament Test, and Obedience. While many of our dogs have made exceptional show prospects, all of them have become excellent family dogs and lifelong friends!

Why did you start breeding?
My love of science and animals has developed my interest in breeding. I hold several science degrees including a master's of science. Combining my passions has been such a joyful experience for me. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others!What makes your program special?
My program is special because my dogs are special to me. They are my family and a part of my everyday life whether that's working as a therapy dog with my patients, joining us in a run, or fulfilling life goals. I am forever grateful for every experience in my breeding journey!What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
