I'm Melissa S., the breeder behind August Oaks Aussies located in Wesley Chapel, FL. At August Oaks Aussies, our miniature Australian Shepherds are bred with intention, care, and a deep respect for the breed. We focus on producing well rounded companions with sound structure, stable temperaments, and the intelligence and loyalty the Australian Shepherd is known for in a smaller, family-friendly size. Our dogs are raised in a home environment, where they receive daily socialization, early neurological stimulation, and exposure to children, other dogs, and everyday life. We carefully select breeding pairs based on health, temperament, and compatibility, not volume or trends. Health and welfare are always our priority. We follow responsible breeding practices and provide age appropriate veterinary care, with puppies placed on limited registration as companions. Our goal is not to produce puppies often, but to produce puppies well dogs that thrive as devoted family members, active companions, and lifelong friends. We are committed to transparency, education, and supporting our puppy families long after pickup.
