  • Why did you start breeding?

    It all began with the incredible impact our first Australian Shepherds had on our family. Their loyalty, intelligence, and gentle spirit inspired us to share that joy with others. Aussies are not only loving companions, they also excel in service, therapy, obedience, herding, and more, thanks to their amazing versatility and eagerness to please.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies grow up right in the heart of our home, surrounded by giggles and plenty of love. With kids to cuddle and a home full of action, they get the very best start in life. We focus on keeping them happy, healthy, and confident so that when it’s time to head to their forever families, they’re more than ready for the adventure ahead.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rhane

Rhane has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 deposit and between $1,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing applies to pet-only homes with Limited AKC Registration. Full breeding rights may be granted upon approval at an additional cost. The deposit is non-refundable unless the puppy passes in our care. Final payment is due before or at pickup, which must take place on the agreed-upon date and payment method.”

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    My experience with Aussies of SoCal started when I decided I would like an Australian Shepard for my next dog. I found them thru google search and reached out about their recent litter. From beginning to end, it was such a smooth process - even though it was strange not being able to go see the puppy I wanted and interact with her, I was able to FaceTime and get regular updates and videos of her, which really helped! On pickup day I was handed all of her paperwork and important documents, as well as some food, vitamins/supplements samples, a bunch of freebies, an adoption certificate, a blanket with her parents scent, etc... the transition from her family to ours was very easy as she was used to small children already and socializing, so it was really a breeze. Skye is so eager to learn and she is proving to be an amazing (and beautiful ;)) puppy and we love her so much! We are so happy with our decision and want to thank you for making it a great experience from beginning to.... a new beginning :)

    Rhane and her family were very welcoming toward me She was sweet, yet very attentive to the puppy’s wellbeing.     Rhane was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to — so different from many other breeders. She’s the kind of person who immediately makes you feel comfortable. She was patient and kind enough to wait a few extra days for the full payment, and when we had a few small issues, she was always understanding and willing to help. When we decided to pick up our puppy earlier than planned, she was also very accommodating and made everything so easy for us. Overall, we had only positive emotions from working with her. I highly recommend getting your puppy from Rhane - she’s truly the best breeder I’ve ever met!

    The whole experience of picking a puppy without meeting them was new to me. I contacted Rhane shortly after the puppies were born. She was helpful and communicative, and informed of potential genetic issues with Australian Shepherds. Rhane sent videos and updates as the puppies grew, and was quick to respond to any questions I had. When the day arrived to pick up the pup I had chosen, I was happy to see him running and playing with her children. Rhane provided me with all the paperwork of his vaccinations and microchip and the paperwork to register him with AKC, and a “going home” bag with food, favorite treats and a blanket with his litter mates scents. I have had the puppy, named Journey, home just over two weeks now. He adjusted surprisingly easy to his new life and home, learned his new name in less than a week, and is beginning some simple training at 10 weeks. This is, I believe, due to the attention and care Rhane provided, not only to the pups after they were born, but also to the care and nutrition needs of mom. AusCal is a conscientious and reputable breeder of Australian Shepherds, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a healthy, socialized and well adapted puppy.
