Meet the breeder

I'm Carrie H., the breeder behind Aussies Of Circle H located in Dundee, OH. We strive to raise healthy, well-rounded Australian Shepherd puppies who grow into great companions! We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and give them enrichment opportunities. That includes everything from choosing healthy, health tested parents with good temperaments.

Q. & A. with Carrie

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got our first Aussie to help our children, recover traumatic experiences with other large breed dogs. The Aussies are so loyal to their people and were so loving that we decided to spread the love to other families. It is so reassuring to me when I see the dogs laying in the yard watching my children play. Their presence is another layer of protection for them and brings me so much comfort
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs work with us and the livestock, and I realized the importance of ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early Scent Introduction, as well as the daily "Puppy Massages" that we perform daily beginning at 3 days of age. Striving to continue my education on the breed , as well as breeding practices and genetic health is vital to the integrity of the breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Carrie really was the greatest to work with! You can really tell how much she loves and cares for her dogs and puppies. She was so kind and answered all of our questions. She even did a video call with us and showed us the farm they live on. Every week she would send us videos or photos of our sweet girl. We would definitely love to work with her again someday. For now we are so excited to have our sweet Faelene home with us.

I cannot recommend this breeder enough. From the very first day I reached out, the communication was exceptional. She consistently kept me updated throughout the entire process with pictures, videos, and progress reports, and she never once made me feel like I was asking too many questions. Every concern or question I had was answered quickly, kindly, and thoroughly—even after bringing Remy home. What stands out the most is how much love and dedication she pours into every litter. These puppies aren’t just bred—they’re genuinely cared for. You can see the time, effort, and heart she invests in raising them, and it truly shows in their personalities and confidence. Remy has exceeded every expectation we had. He is healthy, incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, affectionate, and absolutely stunning. He has such a wonderful temperament and has fit into our family so naturally. Everywhere we go, people stop to compliment him. Choosing a breeder is a huge decision, and I can honestly say I would make the same choice a hundred times over. If you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate, transparent, and deeply committed to producing exceptional Australian Shepherds, look no further. We are beyond grateful for our sweet boy, and I can’t thank her enough for giving us such an amazing addition to our family.
