I'm Nicole C., the breeder behind Awwws-n-Pawws located in Mahwah, NJ. I am a huge animal lover and have a special place in my heart for everyone of my dogs. I provide top-quality beloved companions. I cherish each of my dogs and puppies, and I do everything I can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love my dogs (this Maltipoo breed) so much, I want to bless others with how great they are! They are loving, smart, easy to train, adaptable to any residence I.e. apartment, house, town home, they are hypo-allergenic, excellent with small children and seniors. They don’t bark a lot at all! And they are perfect emotional support dogs as well. They have changed my life and it all started with my rescue Beauty, she passed 12/28/20, bestest and greatest friend/companion in the whole world!! So if I can share and bless them with others, I will absolutely breed them Forever!!!

  • What makes your program special?

    I am holistic breeder that only feeds my dogs natural as close to raw food as possible. Their diet consists of only Turkey, some chicken, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, brown rice, shiitake mushrooms, free range eggs and a little bit of coconut oil. My dogs only drink distilled water. They are showered with lots of lots of love everyday and they are my babies!!!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, brown, and champagne. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nicole

Nicole has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Nicole partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 refundable deposit and between $2,800 - $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“price includes the guarantee, first round of vaccinations, deworming& puppy socialization. Delivered w/ blanket&litter play toy for scent. Travel carrying satchel included with flight nanny deliveries. Deposit is Refundable and Transferrable. The Deposit Amount Paid Will Go Towards Pups Purchase Price, Reducing The Final Payment At Time of Drop Off/Delivery.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     From the moment Nicole and I connected, I knew she was the breeder we would choose. Though we live quite a distance apart, I was able to have a video chat with her and Raven (Now named Shuri Nakia). She met us halfway, gave us so much wonderful advice and items with her siblings and Mom's scent. When I took Shuri to the vet for vaccines and such the report was glowing. Shuri is healthy, happy, and the complete love of our lives! The love she has for the litters absolutely shows! There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are to have Shuri and know that she came from a breeder who leads with love.

    I can't begin to express how grateful I am for finding Nicole. From the first interaction I knew she had the pups best interest in mind overall.     Nicole was responsive all the time, in fact she was great, unlike other breeders we met in good dog. We are first time pet parents who had many concerns which Nicole understood and addressed. She even responded to the troubles we had after we brought rascal home. Rascal is doing awesome now. Omg he has so much personality jus like his mother sparkle, he does look like sparkle in some angles. We met Nicole in person as we were undecided between blue (Chill, cool and Intellectual) and rascal (Smart and as name says Rascal) personality, she allowed us to meet both and spent some time to decide. We loved both equally, if we had a bigger house we would have brought both home, but we went with rascal. Nicole names her puppies on good dog interface based on each puppy personality which gives you idea what you are getting into.

    We cannot say enough great things about Nicole. As Teddy is our first dog, we were very nervous about ensuring that our puppy came from an ethical breeder and that we were fully prepared for a new puppy. Nicole was incredibly helpful in easing our minds on all fronts, providing information on her breeding practices, how to prepare in the days leading up to our puppy arriving and tips for the months afterward. Teddy is such a smart and amazing dog, and all credit is to Nicole for beginning to train the puppies while they’re young. Training Teddy was such a breeze because he picked up on things almost instantly. If we were to get another dog, we would 10000% go with Nicole and her puppies!!!!
