Azzo Aussies

Lauren K.

Breeder of Australian Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Lauren K., the breeder behind Azzo Aussies located in Christiana, TN. We are a small breeding kennel with only 3 active females. We have 2 Dogs we are adding to our breeding program. Bear and Kevin. Both Bear and Kevin are our newest puppies from Oscar and Blue litter. We look forward to see what they will bring into our program.

Q. & A. with Lauren

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have owned our first Aussies for almost 14 years and have always loved the characteristics of the Aussie. So when we were finally stable enough and had a few years of experience with the breed I reached out to a mentor and started asking questions about becoming a breeder. My mentor helped me learn and still helps me learn more about the breed each day. I try to produce a well-rounded dog.
  • What makes your program special?

We only breed twice a year. This helps us to only produce good quality dogs. We take time in looking for the right Stud to use. We make sure they are registered, genetically tested and overall the characteristics are there to enhance the breed not to hinder the breed. We try to make sure that our breeding program holds up to the standards for our breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
