I'm Colby S., the breeder behind Back 40 Aussies located in Mena, AR. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We live on a 50-acre farm, where our dogs are raised with cattle, sheep, horses, chickens, and rabbits, as well as with our children. Our breeding dogs have been genetically tested through Paw Print Genetics and are healthy and happy. We hope our puppies bring lasting joy and love into your homes!

Why did you start breeding?
Aussies are my favorite. I’ve loved them since I was a little girl. My goal has always been to eventually breed them for the true love of the breed. I want to breed dogs that are good working, family dogs and true to the Aussie standards.What makes your program special?
Our program is special because of our dogs. Australian Shepherds are such a joy, and we find so much fulfillment in raising and preparing them for their loving, forever homes. We want to ensure the integrity of the breed and that happy-go-lucky Aussie spirit. We are passionate about this breed, and our love for these dogs shines through in every aspect of our breeding program.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Colby
Colby has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $100 - $600 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price also includes a health guarantee, first vaccinations, deworming, ASDR registration, and microchip. Breeding rights can be discussed. Puppies are genetically clear through parents. Deposit is nonrefundable and goes toward your total balance. Total puppy price is based upon color, confirmation, and full or limited registration.”
Contract & health guarantee
Colby may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
