I'm Sarah E., the breeder behind Badlands Mini Dachshunds located in Santa Fe, NM. We are a small, family-owned Dachshund breeder in Santa Fe, New Mexico specializing in long coat miniature dachshunds. Our puppies are responsibly bred for temperament, appearance, genetics, and breed foundation. Puppies are high quality, indoor home raised, and heavily socialized! We are confident that you are going to love your mini dachshund as much as we do!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have been raising ABCA and AKC registered border collies and AKC registered miniature dachshunds for almost 20 years. I have extensive training in the veterinary medical field and I have worked as a veterinary technician, marine specialist, and rescue, rehabilitation, and release specialist for exotic wildlife.

  • What makes your program special?

    I specialize in raising long hair miniature dachshund puppies that are responsibly bred for temperament, appearance, genetics, and breed foundation. They are high quality, indoor home raised, and heavily socialized. We work hard to provide an environment where our miniature dachshund puppies can thrive before being introduced into their new home!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sarah

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices are based on color, gender and markings. A fully refundable deposit is required to reserve your puppy.”

Sarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
