I'm Nakia t., the breeder behind Badlands Toy and Mini Aussies located in Bend, OR. I breed genetically tested, OFA hip and elbow certified Mini and Toy Aussies that have great temperaments. It's so fulfilling to share these furry companions! I want to make the transition from my loving home to yours as seamless as possible by giving personal attention to each little pup to ensure it is well-rounded and prepared to excel in its forever home.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I purchased my first Mini Aussie and absolutely fell in love with the breed. I wanted to do my part as a responsible breeder and produce healthy, well-rounded pups. It is a privilege to share their love and friendship with others!

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are great pets with great personalities! I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Aussie line.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black, red, black tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nakia

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nakia partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Wonderful Experience With Badlands Toy & Mini Aussies We had an amazing experience working with Nakia at Badlands Toy and Mini Aussies. From the very beginning, her communication was quick, clear, and incredibly helpful. Every question we had was answered with patience and genuine care, which made the entire process feel easy and reassuring. We renamed him Coda, and he has been an absolute handful of joy. The day after he was delivered to us, we took him to our vet for a checkup. The vet was extremely impressed with how thorough and organized all of the information from the breeder was, she even said she wished more breeders operated at this level of professionalism. Coda checked out perfectly healthy, and everyone at the clinic was mesmerized by his stunning blue eyes. The day after we received Coda, Nakia checked in with us to make sure he was settling in and that everything was okay, a small gesture that meant a lot and showed how much she truly cares about her puppies. Thank you, Nakia, for giving us such a wonderful new companion. We couldn’t be happier with our experience or with our sweet boy, Coda.

    Nakia was very professional and took pride in making sure all my questions were answered. She really went above and beyond delivering my little puppy with a baby blanket that had puppy's mom's scent and a toy she really liked. She had documentation of puppy's vaccines and vet exam as well as being micro chipped. We named our little puppy, Gia, meaning God is Gracious! She's been such a sweet, playful and smart dog to train! And icing on the cake is our 6 yr old aussie/border collie loves her and plays well with her! We couldn't be happier!!

    We picked up our puppy from Nakia back in 2023 and had the best time. We were nervous at first since we had to travel from out of state to get him but Nakia made the process easy as she had great communication and was willing to accommodate with our schedule.
