Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Sarah partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“🐾 Our Puppy Matching & Placement Process At Ball-Y-Hoo Bernedoodles, we take a thoughtful, temperament-based approach to matching each puppy with the right family. We do not operate on a simple “first deposit = first pick” model. Instead, we focus on placing each puppy where they will thrive for life. 💛 How Matching Works: • Families join our reservation list with a deposit. • As puppies grow, we spend several weeks evaluating temperament, confidence, energy level, and personality. • We also take time to understand your lifestyle through conversations (often via FaceTime), including: • Activity level • Household dynamics (children, other pets, etc.) • Desired temperament (calm companion vs. active adventurer) 🧠 Temperament Comes First: Each puppy is unique—even within the same litter. We carefully match based on: • Energy level and drive • Social confidence • Sensitivity and adaptability • Human focus and trainability 🤝 Collaborative Matching: When puppies are around 6–7 weeks old, we begin the matching process: • We provide guidance on which puppies may be the best fit for your home. • You’ll be involved in the decision, but we offer strong recommendations based on what we’ve observed. 🎯 Our Goal: Our goal is simple: The right puppy in the right home. This approach helps ensure: • Smoother transitions • Happier families • Well-adjusted, confident dogs ⸻ 🐶 What This Means for You: • You’re not just choosing a puppy—you’re gaining a partner in the process • We prioritize long-term success over quick selection • Every placement is intentional and personalized”

“The price includes the guarantee, deworming, a veterinary visit, early socialization, and first round of puppy vaccinations. A $500 non-refundable, transferable reservation fee holds your spot. Deposits are made securely via the GoodDog platform, which protects your payment until you receive your puppy.”
Sarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Sarah offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Sarah directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

One of the most incredible things happened last night. Jojo came into my room and wouldn’t settle. She kept circling me, nudging me, clearly trying to tell me something wasn’t right. It wasn’t her normal behavior at all, so I got up and followed her. She led me straight into the family room… where Cleo had just started labor. (Not in her whelping box, of course—on the massage chair, because apparently that felt like the right choice in the moment 🙃) We quickly got Cleo settled into her whelping space, and from there everything progressed just as it should. Cleo did beautifully—calm, steady, and completely in tune with her instincts. She is now resting comfortably and actively mothering seven beautiful puppies, all healthy, strong, and already nursing well. But I can’t stop thinking about Jojo. She recognized something was happening, came to get me, and didn’t stop until I followed her. That kind of awareness and communication is something really special—and honestly, one of the many reasons we love raising dogs in a home environment where they bond so closely with us (and each other). Nature, instinct, and a little teamwork 💛

Week 6 Update – Jojo & Rocco’s Spring Litter 🌸🐾 It’s hard to believe how much has changed in just a few short weeks—these puppies are truly stepping into their little personalities now, and it is such a fun stage to experience. Today was a big milestone for the litter as they had their very first vet visit—right here at home. Keeping this experience in a familiar environment helps reduce stress and allows the puppies to be evaluated while they are relaxed and comfortable. Overall, the puppies did very well during their exams. The vet was very happy with their growth and development, and it was wonderful to see how calmly they handled being checked, held, and observed. Back in their play space, their world continues to expand. The puppies are actively exploring the puppy play area, and the caterpillar tunnel has quickly become a favorite. Watching pups work up the courage to go through, turn around, and go again has been such a great example of their growing confidence and curiosity. We’re also continuing our Puppy Culture work each day—introducing new textures, sounds, and gentle handling experiences. All of the puppies are becoming more comfortable being picked up, having their paws and faces handled, and beginning early grooming exposure. These small moments now make such a big difference in who they become later. One of the most special parts of this week is seeing the early glimpses of personality begin to shine through. While it’s still early and things will continue to evolve, we’re starting to notice some sweet differences: 🌼 Buttercup continues to be gentle and affectionate, with a calm, steady presence. She loves to be held and has a way of just melting into you. 🍯 Nectar is proving to be a true people-lover. She has a strong desire to be close to her humans and is often one of the first to notice when you step away—and one of the first to let you know she’d rather be with you. She thrives on connection and genuinely prefers human companionship over anything else. 🐾 We are also seeing some of the puppies step forward as little adventurers—often the first to explore new spaces or take on the tunnel—while others are showing a more snuggly, people-focused nature, seeking out connection and attention. It’s such a beautiful balance, and we love watching each of them grow into who they are meant to be. Another exciting milestone—everyone is eating well, growing beautifully, and settling into a natural rhythm of play, exploration, and rest. And we are especially looking forward to this weekend… our Puppy Party on Saturday! 🎉 Many of our families will be meeting the puppies for the very first time, and it’s always such a meaningful moment. These early connections are so special, and we can’t wait to see those bonds begin. We’ll be sharing more after the weekend—this is where everything starts to feel very real 🤍

Four-Week Puppy Update The puppies are now just over four weeks old and entering an exciting new stage of development. At this age, we are seeing early personality traits begin to emerge, along with increased curiosity, mobility, and interaction with littermates. They have transitioned into an expanded space and are being introduced to new environments, textures, and age-appropriate stimuli as part of our Puppy Culture–based raising program. These early exposures help build confidence, resilience, and adaptability. We are also continuing routine handling and early grooming introductions, including nail trims and gentle brushing, to ensure each puppy is comfortable with foundational care. All puppies have had their DNA samples submitted, and we are currently awaiting results, which are expected within the next 1–3 weeks. These results will provide additional insight to support transparency and informed placement decisions. Over the coming weeks, we will be closely observing temperament, energy levels, and social tendencies to support thoughtful matching. This litter is fully reserved. We appreciate the trust our families place in our program and look forward to sharing continued updates as the puppies grow.

Hi everyone! I know you’re all waiting on this week’s puppy update—pictures are coming soon - I promise 😊 In the meantime, I had to share that the babies are already getting the sweetest early socialization from their big sister, Greta the Great (GG). She takes her job very seriously and keeps a close, gentle eye on them. We couldn’t ask for a better little helper 💕

I know I just sent an update yesterday, but I couldn’t let this milestone pass us by without sharing the news…Daffodil looked around and was so calm as I was trimming her nails….just soaking it all in!!! 🌼 Daffodil Update 🌼 We had our very first “eyes open” milestone this week! Sweet Daffodil was the first puppy in the litter to open her eyes and start taking little peeks at the world around her. At this stage their vision is still quite blurry, but it’s always a special moment when those tiny eyes begin to open. Over the next several days the rest of the puppies will follow, and their little personalities will start to shine even more. Daffodil has been calm and content, soaking up the snuggles and continuing to grow beautifully. We love watching these early milestones as the puppies begin their journey through the Puppy Culture program. More updates coming soon as the whole crew starts to join Daffodil in seeing the world for the first time! 🐾

Week One Update – JoB & the Puppies 🐾 JoB has settled beautifully into motherhood and is doing a wonderful job caring for her babies. The puppies are nursing well and gaining weight each day, which is exactly what we hope to see during this first week of life. We began Puppy Culture early neurological stimulation on day three, introducing the puppies to gentle developmental exercises that help support neurological growth and resilience as they mature. We also weigh each puppy daily to monitor growth and ensure everyone is thriving. You can see their steady progress in the growth chart — exactly the kind of consistent gains we like to see during the newborn stage. If you look closely at the photo, you may notice the blankets look a little… “customized.” JoB firmly believes the nursery should be arranged her way, not mine. I smooth everything out, and she happily redecorates to create the coziest puppy nest possible. For now, life in the whelping box is a warm little pile of sleepy puppies and one very proud mama. 💛

🐝 Honeybee Spring Litter – 3 Day Update 🌼 Our tiny little Honeybees are now 3 days old, and they are doing wonderfully! These early days are all about snuggling, nursing, sleeping, and bonding with Mama JoB, who is doing an amazing job caring for her babies. We’re keeping things very calm and cozy in the whelping box so JoB and the puppies can settle into their rhythm together. Starting today, we also begin the first gentle Puppy Culture exercises, introducing the puppies to small early experiences that help build confidence as they grow. I’ve taken a few group photos of the whole buzzing little crew, but individual puppy introductions will come soon once everyone is a little bigger and stronger. For now, these sweet little Honeybees are mostly a pile of warm sleepy puppies with full milk bellies. 🐶💛 More updates soon! 🐝

JoB and I are having a serious debate. Will all y’all help break the tie here? First, my idea of nesting and getting the den ready for puppies. Note how neat and tidy, correct? On the right, Mama Dog JoB’s idea of a ready den. She goes back in and “redecorates” every time I get ready as shown on the left. Which looks more suitable to you? Note: We are all beyond excited!! 😅😂🙄🐶🐾 #puppywatch #passingtime #nesting

About Cleo
The Dual Nature of a Distinguished Dame: A Portrait of My Standard Poodle There are two sides to my standard poodle: the dignified lady who carries herself with regal poise and the exuberant athlete who lives for the thrill of the chase. By all outward appearances, she is the epitome of grace. Her meticulously groomed coat—whether in a classic continental clip or a more modern trim—shimmers in the sunlight, and she moves with an effortless elegance that makes heads turn. She has a way of tilting her head just so, as if she’s contemplating the finer points of etiquette, and when she crosses a room, she does so with the refined air of a grand dame arriving fashionably late to a soirée. But present her with a ball, and all pretense of aristocracy vanishes. In an instant, she transforms from a poised sophisticate to a fearless competitor, eyes locked on her target with unwavering intensity. The moment the ball leaves my hand, she springs into action, a blur of curly fur and determination. No puddle is too deep, no terrain too rugged—if the ball dares to bounce, she will retrieve it, bringing it back with an expectant look that says, Again! And yet, the moment the game is done, she resumes her role as a refined lady, delicately prancing back to her spot, crossing her paws with deliberate precision. It’s as if she never broke a sweat, as if her impromptu athletic performance was simply a fleeting moment of indulgence before she returns to more dignified pursuits. This delightful paradox is what makes her so enchanting—her ability to embody both elegance and enthusiasm, refinement and resilience. She is proof that one can be both a queen and a competitor, a lady and a legend on the field of fetch. And so, she remains, my elegant ball-chasing duchess, ruling both the living room and the playing field with equal authority.

Sarah was very understanding and patient as we moved forward with adopting Chestnut(now known as Laney.) It was such a comfort to FaceTime and actually see Laney! Laney is wonderful and a beautiful puppy. The medical records were very much appreciated, as well as pics of the mother and father. Laney has her mother’s coloring! She’s 14 weeks old and weighs 20lbs. Huge paws and huge licks! Laney has a grooming session scheduled for December 23rd. She’s a complete fluff ball who LOVES baths. We are so thankful that Sarah helped us find Laney! She’s a perfect puppy!

We had such a wonderful experience with Sarah. From the very beginning she was friendly, professional, and incredibly communicative, always keeping us updated and answering every question we had. Our puppy came home already well trained and confident, which made the transition so smooth for our family. What really stood out was Sarah’s genuine care. Even after we brought our puppy home she followed up to make sure everything was going well and offered to help with any questions we might have. You can truly tell she loves what she does and puts so much effort into raising happy, healthy puppies. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a responsible and caring breeder.

Sarah has gone above and beyond my expectations. Not only did she give me updates and provided me with thorough understanding with how things were going and what to expect, she also facetimed me so I could meet Mia "Little Miss" since we are 3 states away. She addressed all my concerns AND was so passionate about her pups. Here is where she really blew my mind...She personally took a flight along with her husband and Mia to deliver Mia to me. Mia was at her feet the entire flight. Who does that?? Sarah and her husband did and delivered a precious pup. She is such a happy puppy. They even went as far to start to crate train her and it made it so much easier. Mia was comfortable from DAY 1. Thank you so much. I highly recommend Sarah if you want a great experience, and you want to deal with someone that cares and will fill you with information that will not leave you guessing on what to expect.

We brought home Gambit (previously Franz) a couple weeks ago and couldn’t be happier! It can be pretty hard to pick a breeder, it was really important to us that the parents and puppy were health tested and that the puppies were in a good environment in their first months. Sarah went above and beyond and it’s very clear to us that she does this as a passion and gives a lot of love to her pups. Gambit is in perfect health and learning very quickly, he is an absolute sweetheart and just the smartest boy. We received videos of our pup playing and training outside, and he and Sarah went out for some socialization dates. On his ride home, he was an angel and slept in the car the whole way. He absolutely loves playing in the yard and finding sticks and squirrels. He is great with our guests, potty trained super fast, learning commands quickly, and just all around an amazing little guy. Thank you Sarah for being an amazing and caring breeder ❤️

I am so pleased and impressed with my bernedoddle puppy from Ball-Y-Hoo bernedoddles. My puppy was crate trained, partially potty trained, well socialized with other dogs, allows touch on his paws and ears, and has the absolute best disposition. His trips to the vet have been pleasant and uneventful. He tolerates car rides very well. I live in a 55 plus community and he has quickly become the darling of the community. Everyone knows his name and they all stop to greet him whenever they see him out. He plays so well with other dogs in our community. I could not ask for a better dog. Thank you Sarah!

I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with my new puppy and the experience I had with this breeder! From the moment I inquired about the litter to bringing my puppy home, everything was handled with the utmost care, professionalism, and love. The breeder clearly puts the health and well-being of their puppies first. They were extremely knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and provided me with detailed information about my puppy's background, diet, and care. The puppy I received is not only healthy but also well-socialized, playful, and has the best temperament. You can truly tell the breeder invests time and energy into ensuring their puppies grow up to be confident, happy, and well-adjusted. I appreciated the regular updates with photos and videos as I eagerly awaited my puppy’s arrival. It was clear that the breeder cares deeply about their dogs and treats them as part of the family. The transition to my home was smooth, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a fantastic breeder. I would recommend them to anyone looking to bring a loving, healthy puppy into their home. Thank you for providing me with the perfect addition to my family!
