I'm Alton M., the breeder behind Bama Border Collies located in Foley, AL. For over twenty years, we have owned beloved Border Collies. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy Border Collies that can bring other people that same joy as well. We strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can share their happy lives and companionship.
Q. & A. with Alton
Why did you start breeding?
We believe that we have two of the sweetest, most intelligent, loving Border Collies around, who love to visit their friends at Tractor Supply, our local Farmers Co-Op and feed stores. Every one of the wonderful people they visit have been so impressed and happy interacting with them that we decided to bring more joy to the world breeding one of our girls to a very handsome, loving sire.
What makes your program special?
We strive for quality over quantity, and are very selective in the sire our girl is bred with, so that we can produce quality Border Collies that have the best traits of the breed. Xena had her first litter, and has been a wonderful, attentive mother.
She had seven beautiful, healthy pups, and we are so pleased that they will bring much joy to their forever families!
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include slate merle and white and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Alton was very friendly and made the whole process easy and seamless. He truly cares about his puppies and does a great job of making sure they go to a good home. I appreciated all of the info and pictures, and Alton’s willingness to meet us halfway. we found our sweet puppy through Alton and he’s fit in so well with our family. We love our sweet puppy so much!
