I'm Brad H., the breeder behind Bark-n-Stomp Farm and Kennels located in Pembroke, KY. I've been involved with Aussies for 25 years and counting. I strive to breed versatile, socialized, and intelligent pups for work, performance and pet homes! I am purposeful in everything that I do regarding my program, which includes careful selection of breeding dogs and extensive health testing. I want my pups to be healthy dogs with great temperaments that are exemplary representations of the breed. I look forward to connecting with you!
Q. & A. with Brad
Why did you start breeding?
I hope to help families find their puppies from responsible and ethical sources to help build a better and safer world for our dogs. I want to do my part to better the breed. My program focuses on maintaining the unique characteristics specific to Australian Shepherds while striving to produce puppies of superior health, conformation, intelligence, lineage, and of course, working ability!
What makes your program special?
I take responsible breeding very seriously. As a breeder, I'm a steward for the future of the breed, so I am careful to always have ethical breeding practices. This includes proper health testing, intentional breeding for specific traits, and raising my puppies with proper socialization. My dogs are not only working dogs, but lifelong companions, too! Each litter comes from a fine line of AKC and ASCA Champion true working stock that is bred to be some of the best working dogs around but that can also fit seamlessly into a home setting.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, red, and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Great level
Bark-n-Stomp Farm and Kennels reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
