Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle L., the breeder behind Bay Haven Chesapeakes located in Fairhaven, MA. We protect the integrity of the breed by guaranteeing health clearance and OFA certification. We're a family-owned breeding program. We spend countless hours providing each puppy we bring into this world with the fundamental basics for the best start in life. We want to provide our buyers with pups who are ready to take on the world!

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

We believe the perfect dog starts with work done by the breeder. We wanted to set an example as to what that looks like.
  • What makes your program special?

We feel so privileged to have the opportunity to share our beautiful dogs with others. Everything we do in our program is with the dogs' and puppies' best intentions in mind.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include light deadgrass, deadgrass, brown, and sedge. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
