We complete all testing recommended by the Boykin Spaniel Society and are listed as Silver level Preferred Breeders by the BSS. Our girls are OFA CHIC certified, and we require the same health testing standards for our chosen sires.

Why did you start breeding?
First we raised little humans, then we enjoyed breeding foals. This has always been an interest of mine, and just seems to flow naturally into this period of my life. I have spent the last 7 years reading pedigrees, learning about health testing, temperament, and performance and building a social network.What makes your program special?
I will be offering quality, health tested Boykin puppies in an underserved area of the Midwest. At the same time, I will do my best to make breeding decisions that will improve my dogs and strengthen the gene pool of the Boykin Spaniel as a breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes litter registration in AKC, UKC, and BSS, individual BSS puppy registration and 1 year BSS membership. All puppies are the same price, regardless of sex. Please see "Extras Included" below. After pregnancy is comfirmed, we invite Waiting List family to make non-refundable deposit. (Refund will be given if designated gender is not available.).”

About Mercy
Mercy is finely built and tall, but her height is still just within female breed standard. She is a gorgeous girl with a gentle, nurturing personality. Content with family life in the home, and happy to spend hours outside quietly contemplating the natural world, Mercy comes alive in the upland field. Just get the shotgun out or even just unzip the guncase, and she is jumping for joy at the door. Mercy nimbly covers any kind of terrain with lightness and efficiency, either in the field or over rugged, wooded ravines. She is an excellent marker and persistent in hunting until she finds that downed bird, even in heavy cover. She is an excellent swimmer and enjoys the water. Mercy is naturally cautious toward human strangers. Even though she is totally appropriate in receiving the attention of strangers, Mercy prefers her own human family. Mercy's sire is HRCH Cash is King MHR. Her dam is HR Richeys Autumn Sunrise. Mercy has never had an ear infection and no skin or food allergies.

About Joy
Joy is a loving, intelligent, biddable girl who loves the hunt test game and loves to please her handler. Her marking and handling skills are excellent for her level of training. Joy attained her HR title in August a few days after her second birthday. Her pro trainer, Phil Hinchman, said that she is a delight to work with because she is so willing to learn and advance to the next level of nuance. She gives an excited little "Aroof!" when she brings that duck to heel and knows she has done something right. An enthusiastic "Good Girl!" is all she needs. In the upland field, Joy naturally is a close worker. She always keeps her eye on her handler and is a natural quarterer between two gunners. Joy is from the only Boykin litter in history to have both parents pass the grueling 5 day HRC International Grand. In addition, Joy's sire, Leine has his HRCH and MHR, and her dam, Daisy, has her HRCH. Joy's talent comes from both of her parents, and she is a "Joy" to us every day. Joy loves her immediate family, but she is devoted to her owner (me). Sometimes that worship can get a little intense because she follows me all around the house "helping" with chores. This little dog MUST have mental stimulation and physical exercise every day, or she gets restless. This temperment is dynamite in the field, but don't think that a little ferrari like this can be happy loafing about in the house for any length of time.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
