


I'm Yvette L., the breeder behind Bayouland Australian Shepherds located in Denham Springs, LA. We're a small, home-based, family-run kennel striving to improve our breed by producing sound, versatile, and healthy Australian Shepherd puppies. We want our dogs to be excel in all areas - conformation, agility, obedience, and herding - while also being exceptional family companions. We truly love this breed and find so much fulfillment in providing love and companionship to those who appreciate it just as much as we do!

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
