Meet the breeder

I'm Brad R., the breeder behind B&B Aussies located in Bartlesville, OK. We focus on creating Australian Shepherds that adhere to the breed standard as closely as possible, while bearing in mind what we’d like in a companion. A fun, loving dog with a great temperament that gets along well with kids and other animals. We aim for energetic dogs with an off switch.

Q. & A. with Brad

  • Why did you start breeding?

I watched and learned from others and made as many preparations as possible and then jumped in.
  • What makes your program special?

I think we care a lot about our dogs. We’ll turn people down if it doesn’t sound like the right fit. The dogs are raised in an indoor playpen for 6 weeks until energy can no longer be contained and they transition to the outdoor enclosure with several play sessions a day. They are tested thoroughly and every precaution possible is taken to ensure we’re creating happy, healthy animals.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black & white, blue merle, and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Brad

Brad has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Brad partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Usually around 6 weeks you can start to tell what a dog is going to be like. We focus on transparency as far as what kind of puppy we believe we have and let the buyers make the choice as to what they believe is the best fit. We screen buyers by requesting facetime and asking a few questions to ensure they will be a good fit for an Aussie. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit that secures a specific puppy. The remaining $200 - $1,500 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

“Dual registered through AKC and ASDR. AKC registration is prepaid. Dewormed 2,4,6, and 8 weeks. 6 & 8 week vaccinations so far. Deposit reserves the puppy for you until pick-up arrangements can be made.”

Contract & health guarantee

Brad may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Brad offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Brad directly.
