I'm Chelsea F., the breeder behind Beachside Doxies located in Laguna Niguel, CA. In a world of backyard breeders and puppy mills, at Beachside Doxies we offer something unique! We only breed our girl Honey, and do so with intention and love. Mates are selected with health and temperament in mind, and pups are treated with constant care and attention in our own home.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with the very best dachshund ever and was lucky enough to experience the magic of breeding throughout my childhood. My mom exemplified a gentle, loving approach and professionalism through the whole process, and I’m excited to create a similar environment in my own home.What makes your program special?
We are focused on breeding family dogs only, and are very picky about placement. Our mother dog’s mental and physical health comes first as we care for the pups here in my own home with my children and other pets.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Getting a puppy from Chelsea
Chelsea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Chelsea partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We try and match based off temperament and life-style needs above all else. I love for this to be a collaborative process, allowing potential buyers to meet pups at 6 weeks, finalizing their pick by week 8. ”
Price
“The price includes vaccinations, deworming, a vet check, toys, food, a blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, initial potty training, and vet records. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or gender. We try and match based off temperament and life-style needs above all else.”

About Honey
Honey is a chocolate and cream long-haired mini dachshund. She has a sweet, sasssy and loyal temperament. Honey was raised in a home with kids and is the most patient gentle dog. She loves to burrow and snuggle, and enjoys walks on the beach. Honey is embark dna tested.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
