  • Why did you start breeding?

    I enjoy watching people's faces light up with pure, unadulterated joy when they see my puppies. Being a part of such a heart warming and fulfilling experience is second to none. I surround myself with happiness and adorability in order to make others happy. How awesome is that? I'm lucky to have found my passion and even luckier to be a part of the stewardship between animals and their human.

  • What makes your program special?

    My compassion for my puppies and their new owners is my trademark. It's a double win for puppies and their families. Placing a puppy into a home is a lifelong commitment and I strongly believe in honoring that. I will always be available for questions, concerns, and comments. Communication, education, and transparency are my top priorities and you will experience them while working with me.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and tan, chocolate and cream, black and cream, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Mindy

Mindy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes first set of vaccines and vet exam, wormer as recommended by the manufacturer, blanket with mom's scent, toy, starter bag of puppy food, AKC folder with registration form. All puppies require a non-refundable deposit to hold them for you until pick-up. Frequent pictures and video will be sent to you so you may watch your puppy grow until they are old enough to go home."

Contract & health guarantee

Mindy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Mindy was really great to work with. I knew as soon as I seen Dottie who is now Dolly, she was my girl. Having not a so great experience with another breeder, I was very cautious. Mindy was on board and took out the time to share everything with me. Not just pictures or videos like some breeders so, but important information about Dolly. Any and all shots, info that the parents had a history of reactions to vaccines. Most importantly, she handed off a HEALTHY puppy. Dolly is doing exceptionally well. I send pics and updates to Mindy. I am so very grateful to her and appreciate all the time she put into Dolly and I. Was a pleasure to meet with her and again she was exceptional, she did not rush me she went over all paperwork, history of Dolly, her belongings and made sure I was happy. If I were to purchase another puppy again it would definitely be through Mindy.

    Mindy was incredible throughout the entire adoption process. She answered all my questions and made sure to disclose all details about Misty (previously known as tiramisu).     I had the best experience with Mindy! She responded promptly to my online application and answered all my questions and concerns regarding her available dachshund. I had a "meet and greet" with the dachshund and Mindy two days after completing the online application and left that day with my adorable Reese. At 2 months old Reese is already potty trained which I'm sure is due to Mindy's expertise. If I was to get a second dachshund, I would absolutely contact Mindy again!

    Beaks and Barks is everything a responsible breeder should be! I was a little nervous about choosing a breeder because it had been 30 years since the last time I got a dog from a breeder. B & B was fantastic at communication, easy to work with, and so personable. Our little Charley had a great start in their care! When we picked her up we were given her vet records and AKC paperwork, etc all organized in a folder. We were also given a break-a-way collar, a collapsible water bowl, a baby blanket with mom and litter mates scents on them, a full size plush blanket, pee pads, a brand new starter bag of Royal Canin for dachshunds, a leash with comfort handle, and several toys! Charley was transported safely in a carrier in the car where we met up in a public space. I had a gut feeling about this pup and her breeder from the start and I feel so, SO lucky my instincts led me to them 💜
