I'm Ashleigh D., the breeder behind Bear Creek Dachshunds located in Duncanville, AL. Hi! At Bear Creek Dachshunds, we raise dachshunds as a family. There are five of us here that operate under the Bear Creek name. Our mom, Kim Smith, has been raising dachshunds for over thirty years. Lauren, Ashleigh, Bailey and Hannah are also a part of Bear Creek and we all have our own dogs.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our mom and grandmother started Bear Creek Dachshunds over thirty years ago. Since then, all of us got into breeding as adults to continue preserving the breed that we love so much.

  • What makes your program special?

    At Bear Creek, our main focus is health and temperament. We strive to produce the best dogs possible and stand behind every single puppy we produce.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Dachshund puppies include longhaired, wirehaired, and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Dachshund puppies include cream, red, wild boar, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), wheaten, fawn (isabella) and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and cream, blue and tan, black and tan, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashleigh

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
