Happy new year! The babies are so big! They learned a little about the leash in a group today. They have little collars on now and have been brushed and introduced to the high velocity dryer. They met some older kids today too!

Merry Christmas!! We’ve felt so blessed to have warm weather so the puppies don’t have to be cooped up!

7 weeks old! Everyone is 6.5 - 8.5ish pounds and doing really well going potty in the pellets. They got baths and nails trimmed again. All were so good! Next vaccine appointment is Jan 8. Make sure you get an appointment with your vet for the 3rd round of puppy shots 😁 No public places until then!

Big day for puppies! First vaccines and checkups and everyone did so well!

It’s a balmy 71 degrees here and a big day for these puppies! Last night they got introduced to a crate with the door open in their pen. It was a big hit, at one point all 6 were crammed inside (on their own volition of course!) of it at the same time in a puppy pile 😂 Today they got to go outside for the first time! We learned about some very important things, such as running underneath the big dogs (we also have a yellow lab and a german shepherd), drinking from the water bowl, yummy crunchy leaves 🍂 and stairs! I’m so impressed with how adaptable these babies are! Their little personalities show more each day.

Some 5 week old photos 🐾 they’re so quick now that it’s hard to get pictures, so these are screenshots from videos 😂

4 weeks old already! These babies are working on litter training and love snuggling people and each other. They are playing with toys and wrestling and starting to run a little (clumsily). They have had their nails cut, been dewormed, and have their first vaccine appointment on the 18th!

Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Clementine
Clementine is my keeper from Trix x Ranger, the red merle girl that I asked Trix for 🥰 She is so sweet and trainable. She got a bit more of Ranger’s longer coat so far, but she is only 1 year old at this time so we still have growing and changing to do! She will not be bred until she is 2 and has her OFA finals.
Good health testing

Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Trix
Trix steals the heart of everyone she meets and is a lovely example of the breed. She is so well behaved, wiggles her butt like crazy and just wants to snuggle everyone. Her genetic testing is done and she has OFA finals, showing that she is not passing on bad eyes, hips, elbows or patellas. She has been shown to her Elite champion puppy title.

Ashley and Alex were on it from the very beginning. always answers your questions. it was so exciting to see picture at least three times a week. Even cute Christmas pics. We went to Pueblo to pick him up. they were so nice. Trix the mom was there and one brother and older sibling. you could tell they were quality dogs. Their work with the puppy was spot on. He leads on a leash. Was fabulous on the road. Ashley and Alex have there act together.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ashley & Alex at Bear River Ranch LLC. They brought us home our 10-week-old Mini Australian Shepherd puppy, Penny, and could not be happier. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. They provided weekly photo updates and were always happy to send personal updates upon request, which gave us so much peace of mind while waiting. It was clear Penny was being raised with care, attention, and love. Penny came to us healthy, happy, and well cared for, with a great temperament. Ashley and Alex were extremely knowledgeable and transparent, background information was readily available, and it was obvious they take pride in their breeding program. The parents seem to be wonderful dogs, and it shows in the puppies. If you’re looking for a breeder who is professional, responsive, ethical, and truly invested in their puppies and future families, this is everything you want. We highly recommend Bear River Ranch LLC and are so grateful to Ashley & Alex for bringing Penny into our lives!
