I'm Ashley&Alex G., the breeder behind Bear River Ranch LLC located in Pueblo West, CO. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament from champion conformation lines. They are super smart and trainable wiggle butts 💜 We have a small farm with chickens, cats, horses and the dogs of course. We do OFA’s to make sure our breeding dogs have good eyes, hips and elbows to pass on!

The puppies had the special privilege to annoy their auntie River this evening 😂 Note their grown half sister Clementine and you might guess why I decided to do agility with her! (The largest puppy is not related- she’s my newest show prospect) Everyone loves Auntie River, even the cats! They also learned how to use the dog door so fast, with barely any effort from me to train it! They have been crate conditioning for weeks now - I think I’ve forgotten to specifically mention that ☺️ I can’t believe they can start going home at the end of the week!!

Feeling like farm dogs today! After a nice morning splashing and playing in the dirt, they got to go see the horses and the chickens 🥰

Puppies had a perfect vet visit! Sorry it isn’t my best photography, I was trying to wrangle them and the human baby. We can’t wait for more stroller adventures! They are scheduled for their next round of vaccines in 3 weeks, on Sept 17, if they are still here with us. This vet does 3-4 weeks in between boosters. Please let me know if you want to make your own appointment for that second booster and get your puppy before that, or if you want to get them after!

Babies got their nails clipped again and they were so good! We also tried on a tiny life jacket. Tiny little Nori was the busiest, as she usually is nowadays. Enjoy some pictures!

Enjoy some pictures and a video from yard time! (We are putting in recycled astroturf and it’s creating some fun obstacles) Trix wanted to crawl all over me for snuggles instead of me taking pictures 🥰

6 weeks old! Time is flying. It’s hard to get clear pictures of them when they’re awake! I posted new portraits on each puppy’s profile. Also, their first vaccine appointment has been moved up to the 27th because I want to get two rounds of shots in if I can before they go home. Just be aware that they should not touch the ground anywhere where there may be / have been unvaccinated dogs until they get all 3 rounds of shots! Luckily they are very fun to carry around 🥰 Once they get a round of vaccines we will start stroller adventures, and their personality testing is a week from today!

5 weeks old! I’ll try to get some portraits this weekend! Yesterday they got a short trip to the backyard while it was still cool in the morning. Today’s treat was some fun crinkle toys that they really loved. They get to experience something new each day and hear lots of things here at the house. Later on we will start going on little field trips, they will meet the chickens, horses and our cat. First vaccines and checkup are scheduled for Aug 31.

Big babies all got dewormed and moved into a bigger pen to celebrate 4 weeks! They love their new toys and puppy food mush. Still doing so good at using their “potty” They are all between 3.5-4.5 pounds at the moment. We are doing some Puppy Culture and learning about their personalities as they emerge. This time is so fun! I had the benefit of having some family in town to help me snuggle and socialize them with new people this last week. Lots of updates to come!

I cannot believe these nuggets are about to be 4 weeks old somehow! They have started to have some puppy food mush and access to shallow water. I’m so impressed with how much they are going potty where they are supposed to!

About Clementine
Clementine is my keeper from Trix x Ranger, the red merle girl that I asked Trix for 🥰 She is so sweet and trainable. She got a bit more of Ranger’s longer coat. We have dabbled in some beginner agility which has been so fun. She will have her OFA finals done in January.

Her genetic testing is done and she has OFA finals, showing that she is not passing on bad eyes, hips, elbows or patellas. She has been shown to her Elite champion puppy title.

Ashley and Alex were on it from the very beginning. always answers your questions. it was so exciting to see picture at least three times a week. Even cute Christmas pics. We went to Pueblo to pick him up. they were so nice. Trix the mom was there and one brother and older sibling. you could tell they were quality dogs. Their work with the puppy was spot on. He leads on a leash. Was fabulous on the road. Ashley and Alex have there act together.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ashley & Alex at Bear River Ranch LLC. They brought us home our 10-week-old Mini Australian Shepherd puppy, Penny, and could not be happier. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. They provided weekly photo updates and were always happy to send personal updates upon request, which gave us so much peace of mind while waiting. It was clear Penny was being raised with care, attention, and love. Penny came to us healthy, happy, and well cared for, with a great temperament. Ashley and Alex were extremely knowledgeable and transparent, background information was readily available, and it was obvious they take pride in their breeding program. The parents seem to be wonderful dogs, and it shows in the puppies. If you’re looking for a breeder who is professional, responsive, ethical, and truly invested in their puppies and future families, this is everything you want. We highly recommend Bear River Ranch LLC and are so grateful to Ashley & Alex for bringing Penny into our lives!
