I'm Melanie S., the breeder behind Beary GoldenDoodles located in Kansas City, MO. All of our breeding dogs are health and temperament tested to ensure we are passing down the best of both to our puppies. Our puppies are carefully loved, temperament tested, and are given sensory stimulation experiences that prepare them to be delightful companions.

Why did you start breeding?
We love Goldendoodles dearly. We decided to start our own breeding program so that we could share with others the joyful experience of owning these incredible dogs!What makes your program special?
Early neurological stimulation is one tool we use to shape our puppies into child friendly, easy to groom, and well adjusted dogs. We provide safe socialization experience and challenging opportunities to build their trust and confidence. We provide basic obedience training to teach them patience and discipline. We work on potty and kennel training to ease their transition into your home.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Goldendoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

Mele’s Adoption Story Liz and I have been looking at bernedoodles for over a year. Once she found Melanie’s website, Beary Goldendoodles, and the photo of “Pecan Pie” as a little puppy, we stopped looking around. Liz was hooked by cuteness. Our interaction with Melanie in the lead-up to a decision was encouraging for us, getting the feeling that Pecan Pie was in a loving place, getting good treatment and good play with her litter mates. We saw her developing a bit through videos that Melanie sent us, and that helped convince us that this was the right choice. She has been with us for almost six weeks now, and we renamed her Mele. She is still very much a puppy, super energetic and playful, nipping playfully on us and chewing on everything in sight! There is a lot of training ahead. But she shows herself as smart and is picking things up fine. She walks well with us without pulling on us. She still had the occasional accident in the house but is mostly house-trained. She loves her three meals a day! So, what is the purpose of bringing a dog into your life? For us, we sought companionship, one that would keep us moving, and just having the loving nature of a dog in our life. She has added a whole new dimension to our home life by being very loving with us, responsive to our attention to her, full of a playful spirit, very funny with her antics, and an apparent interest in just being around us. Dogs are nice, but Mele has an especially sweet and loving nature. And we love her right back!

Melanie was very responsive to my messages and sent me lots of photos and videos of my puppy so I could get a good idea of her personality before moving forward with purchasing her. So far my pup has had a clean bill of health and is doing amazing with both potty and crate training. She came to us already knowing to sit, and within a month already knows several other commands. She is a very smart and sweet little girl and we are happy with our choice to get her from Melanie.

Melanie was wonderful to speak with, incredibly responsive, and kind! It was clear in our conversations that she not only cared about the puppies as they were with her, but that she also had an interest about who they went home with & how they would be cared for, which I appreciated. Ollie was already trained to go potty and did well in a crate when I found Melanie…and he transitioned so well at home! He’s still a goofy, fun, fluff ball that keeps us laughing with his daily antics around here :) Couldn’t recommend working with Melanie more!

From first contact to picking up our sweet Hobbes to take him home, Melanie was helpful in answering our questions, providing updates and sending adorable pictures and video of our puppy to make us feel a apart of the process. We appreciated the training and handling that she provided as a part of his care - he already knew sit and had a very gentlemanly nibble for treats! Potty training was also started so that made it so much easier for us! He is sweet with a side of spice, to smart for his own good and all things puppy! She constantly sent us the sweetest puppy photos and updates, keeping us connected every step of the way. When it came time for Quest to come home, Melanie personally flew him out to us—which shows just how deeply she cares for her puppies and their new families. And when we decided we wanted to bring home a second puppy because we fell so in love with Quest, she didn’t hesitate to fly Nomad out to us as well!
