I'm Natalia O., the breeder behind Bea’s Dackel Haüs located in Imperial, MO. Here at Bea’s Dackel Haüs we have a small program with big personalities. Breeding genetically healthy and well rounded puppies is my number one priority. I'd be honored to help you and your family find the perfect beloved companion.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I've always been highly interested in animals in general. Dogs in particular have always played a big role in my life as highly loved and important members of my family. Dachshunds have always been a breed I admired and loved; naturally, I wanted to get involved in breeding healthy dogs and contributing to the breed's preservation.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are loved as if they were our own children. At B.D.H. we are highly committed to breeding genetically stable dogs that help preserve the breed, as well as improve the general dog population's genetic health. We've fostered dogs from shelters and rescue programs before; therefore, we are very conscious of how many dogs are out there that have many health issues due to multiple reasons in both purebreds and mixed breeds. We are passionate about our program and the work we do here. We truly want the best for each of our dogs/puppies and their furever families. 🐾

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, black and tan, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Natalia

Natalia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Natalia partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

“After approving an application, I schedule a video call with the applicant so that we may discuss further and I can show them the puppy before moving forward with a deposit. This can be a time consuming process which takes time away from caring for the dogs. For that reason, I ask the applicants to be respectful of my time and not submit an application or schedule a video call if they are unsure or not ready to move forward with a deposit once they have completed my process.”

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Sarcoglycan Deficient Muscular Dystrophy, Full Embark Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), Wisdom Panel, Malignant Hyperthermia (MH), Genetic Diversity Test, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, Optimal Selection Genetic Disease Analysis (180+ Diseases)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I am local to St. Louis and had found out about Bea’s Dackel Haus a while ago. I kept my eye on the available puppies every so often until we were ready to welcome a new one into our home this summer. I fell in love with the breed almost 20 years ago with my first long haired dachshund and haven’t left the doxie cult yet. I was waiting for an older puppy because temperament was most important to me given my experience and lifestyle (active, social, young children). I applied for one puppy and was so impressed when I interviewed with Natalia. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the breed and her dogs, she guided me toward the sister who would be a better fit and she was right. Yellow Girl, now Jasmine, is the sweetest goofiest and of course gorgeous black and tan diva princess I was hoping for. She is a dachshund dream. Because she was almost 8 months when I brought her home, she was advanced in potty training and crate training which made the transition much easier compared to a younger pup. The folder I was given is so detailed and organized, my vet was thrilled with the detailed record keeping to continue care. And so much helpful information for a pet parent in regards to pet insurance options and more. It is so obvious how much Natalia truly cares and I hope to bring home another one of her sweet girls in a couple years time. Until then, she is bonding beautifully with my family and our senior dachshund, Belle. Thank you Natalia!!
