I'm Lil K., the breeder behind Bedtime Story Australian Shepherds located in Silverdale, PA. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have loved animals my whole life 💖 When Shilo joined our family I totally fell in love with this breed. They are amazing and I felt I couldn’t keep this breed to myself. Since Shilo I’ve expanded my training for these little souls to be true family members 💗

  • What makes your program special?

    All puppies are raised in our home which means they are used to living inside with the hustle and bustle. Puppy Culture is at the core of my program! All puppies will have health certificate, vaccinations as per Vet instructions. ENS and desensitizing to sounds, house training is 85-95% . Temperament and healthily are top priority! 30 days of free insurance.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    We have had high energy dogs for almost 30 years now, so we knew what we were getting into when we began searching for a new Australian Shepherd pup. When Lil said our new pup would be a product of puppy culture, perfectly socialized and 85-90% potty trained by 8 weeks, we were more than a little skeptical. She certainly delivered!!! He rides in the car like a champ, slept through the night from day one, and she wasn’t lying about the house breaking, he goes every time we put him out!
