I'm Melissa W., the breeder behind Bee Sweet Dachshunds located in Box Elder, SD. We focus on raising dachshunds that have a calm demeanor, while still being playful, loyal, and vigilant. While we love to see unique coat patterns, we desire healthy, smart pups first and foremost. We want to see all our pups receive homes where they'll be cherished and live their best lives.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Ever since our first dachshund as a kid, I've had a soft spot for the breed. Living in an area with less space made a small dog the right fit for us. With the right training, they're easy to travel with and get along well with children. They love to cuddle and play. If you want a small dog that'll follow you anywhere, cuddle, and play- a dachshund might be right for you.

  • What makes your program special?

    Much attention is focused on each litter to give optimal socializing and care. With young children to handle pups, all pups will be prepared for an environment with children. These dogs will make perfect family pets, as well as a travel buddy or alert dog. Dachshunds love companionship, so please consider how much time they'll have to be alone before deciding if this breed is right for you.

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Melissa

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and between $1,800 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes their first round of vaccines & vet check up and any paperwork they may have. Deposits are designed to reserve a puppy until it's ready to go home. In the event that you no longer wish to buy a specific puppy or become unable to raise one, your deposit will be refunded.”

Contract & health guarantee

Melissa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
