  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always been involved in some sort of breeding. I love the entire process and decided that after I got my first Shih Tzu that I was hooked on this breed. I absolutely love watching the puppies grow and the joy in the faces of the new families they forever join.

  • What makes your program special?

    I am committed to raising happy, healthy and loving puppies. I spend lots of time with my puppies socializing them with other dogs, cats, kids and normal household sounds to help best prepare them for their new homes. I help with perspective families to pick the perfect match for them.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    We had an outstanding experience with Rita in our search for another shih tzu puppy! I appreciated how easy it was to communicate with Rita. She was very responsive during our search and even after we brought our “Alfie” home. She happily shared multiple photos and videos of him before we got him. We drove halfway to meet Rita to get Alfie. She even brought along his dad, Prince, so we got to meet him! Rita sent us off with a well-stocked “new puppy” tote that included essentials like a harness, leash, brush, blanket with his mom’s scent, toys, wet/dry food, treats, puppy pads, & baby photos of him - just to name a few. Rita’s breeding practices and excellent care she provided up until we got Alfie are reflected in his temperament and behavior once we brought him home. At Alfie’s first vet appointment, our vet also stated that “your breeder did an EXCELLENT job of de-worming” and was very impressed. We love our Alfie dearly and extremely grateful for breeders like Rita! She gets our highest recommendation!
