Meet the breeder

I'm Chrissy G., the breeder behind Bellissimo Shelties located in Idaho. The puppies and dogs are all held and loved from day 1. Each puppy is raised in our home. Our dogs are health tested and champion bloodlines. I raise quality puppies for pet families. I show as well. I raise dogs with my whole heart.

Q. & A. with Chrissy

  • Why did you start breeding?

To me Shelties are the best dog breed. They are very intelligent, cuddly sweet, adventurous, extremely loyal and have quite the expressive personality. I see people’s faces light up when they see my dogs. Shelties will bring miles of smiles and that happiness should be shared so Bellissimo Shelties was born.

  • What makes your program special?

Each Bellissimo pup is held, loved and cared for from Day 1. They experience grooming such as brushing, clipping nails, and bathing. They are socialized and have experienced a variety of life’s daily noises. They get plenty of exercise and eat premium Nutrisource puppy food.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black white and tan, black and white, sable and white, and blue merle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Chrissy was helpful, responsive and quite knowledgeable about sheltie breed. Her responsiveness set her apart and helped us feel comfortable that we were getting exactly what we wanted in a puppy. Our little Wally has been a joy from day one and continues to impress us with his intellect, fun loving spirit, and cuteness! He has truly stolen our hearts. Thank you, Chrissy!

Chrissy was wonderful to deal with to get our little girl Coco from. She takes great pride in all of her dogs and is a devoted breeder. The whole process to get Coco went smoothly even though she came all the way to Hershey from Idaho. She provides all information about her dogs and everything they have experienced before you get them. She is caring woman who corresponds quickly and makes sure you are satisfied. Belissimo Shelties is awesome.

I have always wanted a sheltie! I saw Chrissy and knew she’d be the one I’d buy from. I got a call from her the same day, and I still talk to her to this day! My sheltie, I named Emu Rose is doing so well. Temperament is excellent and what I expected a sheltie to be, and that fits the breeds standard. She’s energetic and talkative, a good listener too. I will buy more from Chrissy in 1-2 years. I love them and there shelties!

It has been an incredible pleasure working with Chrissy finding my forever puppy Rainier. She immediately responded to my questions and gave me a wealth of information when it came to Rainier's habits, personality and parents. Making arrangements to pick him up went smoothly and his nanny was exceptional. I highly recommend contacting Chrissy for your next puppy, who will be socialized, puppy-spunky yet calm and loving. Good Dog was easy and simple, as well as, secure. Thank you for this outstanding experience. I feel I have met a dear friend.
