I'm Kim B., the breeder behind Bernstein Doxies located in Lovell, WY. We started out with dachshunds when my daughter wanted a small dog for a 4H project. It took from there with me purchasing two males and two females. Everything has evolve in there. I work full-time to support my dog habit. My goal is to raise happy health pups.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, brindle, blue and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, blue and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Kim

Kim has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Kim partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes 4, 6 and 8 week worming, 6 and 8 week DAPPvL + Cv vaccine. Puppies go home with a one year health guarantee. Puppies will be microchipped and a vet check will be done. I do not ask for a deposit until after pups are born and I can determine coat types.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kim may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Kim offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Kim directly.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
