Meet the breeder

I'm Jordan B., the breeder behind BFF Aussies located in Placerville, CA. When we brought home our first Australian Shepherd, we fell in love with the breed’s intelligence and loyalty. Since then, we've been dedicated to raising happy, healthy puppies and matching them with loving families, ensuring they bring the same joy to others as they have to us.

Q. & A. with Jordan

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a certified veterinary technician with years of experience in the animal industry, I’ve worked with many breeds but found my true passion in Australian Shepherds. I’m now focused on breeding my own lines that prioritize genetic health, breed standard and exceptional temperament, contributing to the overall well-being of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised on our Northern California ranch, where they receive love and care from day one. They're socialized with other animals and children, and engaged in enrichment activities to support their development and early training.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black & white, red & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jordan

Jordan has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Jordan partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

"At BFF Aussies, our goal is to create lifelong, successful matches — not just puppy placements. All of our puppies undergo professional temperament testing at approximately 7 weeks of age. This helps us evaluate each puppy’s natural confidence level, energy, sociability, drive, and overall personality traits. Families are matched in the order that consultations were finished and according to our established waitlist. When it is a family’s turn to choose, we carefully review their lifestyle, goals, experience level, and preferences alongside each puppy’s temperament results. Rather than choosing solely based on color or markings, we prioritize pairing puppies with homes where they will truly thrive — whether that’s an active hiking companion, a family-focused companion dog, a future sport prospect, or a guardian home. This structured process helps ensure smoother transitions, happier families, and well-balanced, confident puppies."

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

As a first time dog owner, I had so many questions and was overwhelmed by how many breeders are in the area. After talking to a few found on good dog, I was instantly able ease with Jordan as she was as open to answering all of my crazy questions. She is a genuine breeder who cares about her puppies future homes. I appreciated her approach to the process: buyer questionnaire to understand the future family and match the pup as best as possible based on temperament tests. Yes, tests; not just one. She was transparent throughout the entire process about which pups match best. Not only did we get a great match but she set us up for success with an amazing puppy take home package including a litter blanket, full bag of food, lots of toys that the pup LOVED, and even a high functioning brush. And of course, al vet records, vaccines, and deworming. It was a wonderful experience and recommend Jordan to anyone looking for an Aussie furbaby. Oh and I really appreciated her approach to tail banding and lack thereof as our baby had a full, long, beautiful tail. Thank you BFF!!!

Jordan and her BFF Aussie team are a pleasure to deal with. She was very knowledgeable and let me visit the puppies prior to pick up which was great and seeing her environment you can tell they are raised in a great home. They go through the extra mile to make sure the puppies potential fits you and your lifestyle. I couldn't be happier with my girl 😍! If I were to get a 2nd Aussie, going through Jordan would be my first choice after my experience

Jordan was great to work with. She was very responsive to our questions. She sent us home with a care pack for Lainey that was extremely helpful. We loved watching her temperment test and it gave us great insight as to her personality. Lainey is a wonderful addition to our family! We love her so much and she is a daddy’s girl. She is eating well, potty training is going great and she has responded well to nighttime crate training. I love that AKC send us age based tips and information. Jordan followed up with us on all of this.
