I'm Jordan B., the breeder behind BFF Aussies located in Placerville, CA. When we brought home our first Australian Shepherd, we fell in love with the breed’s intelligence and loyalty. Since then, we've been dedicated to raising happy, healthy puppies and matching them with loving families, ensuring they bring the same joy to others as they have to us.

Why did you start breeding?
As a certified veterinary technician with years of experience in the animal industry, I’ve worked with many breeds but found my true passion in Australian Shepherds. I’m now focused on breeding my own lines that prioritize genetic health, breed standard and exceptional temperament, contributing to the overall well-being of the breed.What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised on our Northern California ranch, where they receive love and care from day one. They're socialized with other animals and children, and engaged in enrichment activities to support their development and early training.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black & white, red & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Jordan
Jordan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppies come with AKC/ASCA Registration, puppy exam, 1st DHPP vaccination, deworming, microchipped, and a go home goodie bag with a small bag of starter food. Our deposits will guarantee to hold a specific puppy for you of your choice. Our deposits are non-refundable. Ex: if you decide after 2 weeks you no longer want the puppy the $500 will not be returned.”

Hi, my name is Phoenix. I’m a gorgeous blue merle Australian Shepherd with soft features, a gentle spirit, and the perfect medium frame at 48lbs. My mom says I’m the definition of a sweetheart — calm, affectionate, and happiest when I’m tucked right up against the people I love. I’m a true snuggler at heart, always ready to curl up, melt into warm hands, and relax right beside my family. Don’t get me wrong — I adore playtime, too. Give me a ball and a little open space and I’ll happily run, spin, and show off my athletic side. I love a good park adventure, but at the end of the day, nothing beats being close to my humans. I’m gentle in everything I do — soft eyes, soft steps, and the softest heart. Whether I’m lounging on the couch, strolling through the neighborhood, or matching your calm energy on a quiet evening, I’m always tuned in to the people around me. Hi, my name is Atlas. I’m a striking black tri Australian Shepherd with an athletic build and a heart full of love. My mom says I’m one of the easiest dogs she’s ever trained — calm, eager to please, and always ready to soak up attention. (In fact, I’m a bit of a Velcro dog... if you’re not touching me, I’m wondering why!) I may be quiet and composed in public — with excellent manners wherever we go — but at home I’m all about cuddles, playtime, and being near my people. I love curling up on the couch with a stuffed toy in my paws, especially after a long day of adventuring outdoors. Whether it’s hiking through the hills, running errands in town, or just hanging lakeside, I’m always ready for the next experience — as long as I’m with my favorite humans. Oh, and if you’ve got fish on the menu (salmon, cod, whitefish — I don’t discriminate), I’m definitely coming to the party. Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

As a first time dog owner, I had so many questions and was overwhelmed by how many breeders are in the area. After talking to a few found on good dog, I was instantly able ease with Jordan as she was as open to answering all of my crazy questions. She is a genuine breeder who cares about her puppies future homes. I appreciated her approach to the process: buyer questionnaire to understand the future family and match the pup as best as possible based on temperament tests. Yes, tests; not just one. She was transparent throughout the entire process about which pups match best. Not only did we get a great match but she set us up for success with an amazing puppy take home package including a litter blanket, full bag of food, lots of toys that the pup LOVED, and even a high functioning brush. And of course, al vet records, vaccines, and deworming. It was a wonderful experience and recommend Jordan to anyone looking for an Aussie furbaby. Oh and I really appreciated her approach to tail banding and lack thereof as our baby had a full, long, beautiful tail. Thank you BFF!!!

Jordan was great to work with. She was very responsive to our questions. She sent us home with a care pack for Lainey that was extremely helpful. We loved watching her temperment test and it gave us great insight as to her personality. Lainey is a wonderful addition to our family! We love her so much and she is a daddy’s girl. She is eating well, potty training is going great and she has responded well to nighttime crate training. I love that AKC send us age based tips and information. Jordan followed up with us on all of this.
