I'm Suzie M., the breeder behind Big Water Dreams Retrievers located in Grand Rivers, KY. We responsibly breed, raise, and socialize healthy pups so others can enjoy the gift of living life with a Lab! We breed athletic dogs with fantastic temperaments that will make stellar family pets and companions in the field. They're raised with love from our home to yours and we're so proud!

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Suzie

Suzie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Suzie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppies come with AKC registration, dewclaws removed all age appropriate wormings. We perform ENS and ESI we follow some puppy culture. Our puppies are socialized, intro to live pigeons and water.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    My first puppy! I picked him up about a week ago; Suzie and Mike were an incredible team, super supportive and understanding and set me up for success as a new owner with all details cared for, the care package they gave me with him at pickup was incredibly thoughtful and useful for the last few days! My little dude is a bundle of absolute joy and I’m excited for hopefully many years ahead! Everything from initial vet appointments to timeline and expectations were well laid out and they were responsive to questions as they came up.     Everything went well. Picked up at Fort Defiance after regional snow storm passed. Puppy was fine and very active. Has not slowed down since. 4 weeks later he is almost 3 times the size. Learning fast. Is a happy dog.
