I'm Barbara & Madison O., the breeder behind Bigfoot's Kennel located in Palisade, CO. It is our goal to produce adorable Springer Spaniel puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include white and black, black white and tan, black and white, liver white and tan, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Barbara & Madison

Barbara & Madison has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Barbara & Madison partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (PFK), DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4), DNA Repository

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We absolutely love our puppy from the Owen’s! You can tell how much Barbara & Madison love their dogs as soon as you meet them & are incredibly knowledgeable about the breed. They were also very accommodating to our schedule when driving hours to meet the pups & eventually do the pickup. We were filled with questions & they were more than happy to answer them all including letting us know to reach out anytime to answer more.     We had a wonderful experience working with Barbara and Madison! They clearly adore their dogs and are very knowledgeable about this breed. They were flexible scheduling a time for us to meet the pups, and went above and beyond to drop off the pup at our house when it was convenient for us. Our sweet dog is 13 weeks old now, and has been a wonderful addition to our family. He is smart, loving, cute as a button, and has been very easy to train. Our kids love him, and he listens to them (!!). He has had zero accidents inside, and after a couple of nights and lots of rewards, he loves his crate. We are so pleased with our entire experience with Barbara and Madison and would work with them again if we bring home another springer in the future. :)
