Meet the breeder

I'm Barbara & Madison O., the breeder behind Bigfoot's Kennel located in Palisade, CO. It is our goal to produce adorable Springer Spaniel puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include white and black, black white and tan, black and white, liver white and tan, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Barbara & Madison

Barbara & Madison has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Barbara & Madison partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (PFK), DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4), DNA Repository

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I cannot express how impressed and grateful I am with our amazing Springer puppy from Barbara & Madison!! We got him at 12 weeks old and he is already crate trained, potty trained, and is AMAZING off leash on a hike! He is already learning to sit and comes when we call. His temperament is a dream.     After looking for the right puppy for months, my family found Xander on Good Dog and fell in love with him instantly. We sent Barbara and Madison a message, and in less than an hour they responded to us answering all our questions. We were able to set up a virtual meeting with Xander that same day. Once we got the process started, Barbara and Madison were extremely helpful and happy to answer all the questions I had while we prepared to welcome Xander into our home. Even though my family lives a five hour plane ride away from Bigfoot's Kennel, they made the process of picking up the puppy as easy as it could be.     We could not be more happy with our little liver & white puppy from Layla and Clark! Miss Penny Lane is the perfect addition to our outdoor loving family’s lifestyle. She’s wicked smart and I was able to train her to sit and lay down within the first week we had her. We took a family hike here in Colorado with her and she alerted to a rattlesnake on the trail and perhaps saved my young kids from harm.
