Meet the breeder

I'm Amber S., the breeder behind Billboard Doxies located in Pulaski, TN. I raise quality Dachshunds in my home according to AKC's standard guidelines. My main focus is to provide each family with a healthy, well socialized, happy Dachshund that has a great temperament and will make a wonderful lifelong best friend. My babies will go to their forever homes with a nice goody bag, vaccines UTD, already microchipped, their limited AKC papers, and the puppy will have already started potty training.

Q. & A. with Amber

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mom bred Dachshunds when I was a child, and still does. It was always a passion of mine, and something I always knew I wanted to do. Preserving the breed according to AKC standards is very important to me. In 2020 I ventured into importing from South Africa. Not too long after that, my beautiful Ukrainian girl, Ellie, just sort of fell into my lap. I have a passion for including imports into my program, all in the hopes of breeding beautiful, unique dachshunds with great confirmation.
  • What makes your program special?

All of my babies are just that... my babies! I truly love them with all of my heart. Letting them go is and always will be one of the hardest things I have to do. I spend so much of my time with these little ones, because I want to raise quality, well socialized, beautiful puppies that go to wonderful show or pet homes. Health, temperament, pedigree, and confirmation are very important to me, as well as building a relationship with my babies' forever families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, cream, red, chocolate and cream, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Amber was amazing! She was super informative, sent updates of your puppy all the time, and took the time to make sure everything you need for your pup would be there! Got an awesome care package for my girl, pretty much used everything we’ve gotten from it. The care for her pups is phenomenal. It was a wonderful experience and will for sure look for some puppies in the future through her again!

In our exhaustive search for a dachshund puppy, we came across overpriced puppies, puppies that were way too far away, and puppies that were just not very cute…and then we found Billboard Doxies! We instantly fell in love with our now Lily Mae, a beautiful cream long haired female, out of a litter of equally wonderful looking brothers and sisters AND Billboard Doxies was only 30 minutes away! When we contacted Amber, owner of Billboard Doxies, the process of acquiring our Lily Mae was smooth and quick. Ambers love and well being for these dogs was very obvious in the background and home situation checkout that her puppies would be potentially going to. Amber and her husband was very flexible in meeting us for the buying transaction and handing over of our new found love and joy, Lily Mae. One of the best choices I ever made. I cannot imagine a better place to end your search for a dachshund puppy than with Amber at Billboard Doxies.

Amber was super great to work with! She was very helpful getting us acquainted with the breed and what to be prepared for, offered FaceTimes and videos to see the puppy, and even met us halfway when picking up the puppy! Amber also sent our puppy home with some toys, food, treats, and blankets that smelt like his puppy mama. She also did a great job acquainting our pup with pee pads / grass swatches, so potty training has been easier given the background of the puppy. You can truly care how much Amber adores her doxie pups! Biscuit is a great addition to our home and we couldn’t be happier.

Amber has been wonderful to work with. She has been great every step of the way keeping us updated and helping us prepare. She cares deeply about her puppies and has been available and supportive from start to finish. Our new puppy is everything and more and she is still available to answer our questions. Her puppies are so well cared for and healthy we couldn’t have asked for a better breeder to work with. Thank you Good dog for making the process easy and safe and for helping us find Amber and Billboard Doxies.

She was extremely knowledgeable and responsive from day one, and continues to be a huge help to us as we live life with our new puppy. Our dachshund is happy, healthy, and we are thrilled to have her. We felt extremely comfortable with Amber and would recommend her to anyone!

Amber was so sweet and you can tell she loves her dogs. She provides you with all the tools you need to care for your new puppy such as suggestions for food, toys, and snacks. The binder she gives you with laminated pages of what can harm your puppy to CPR for your dog is another example of her dedication. I'm so pleased.
