Our dogs are health & temperament tested, vet cared for, and raised for confident, happy lives. Puppies receive early exposure to kids, dogs, cats & everyday experiences. 🐾🤍.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for Pugs inspired me to pursue ethical breeding with a focus on improving the breed, especially healthier breathing and overall well-being. I also believe breeding and rescue can coexist—I’m proud to foster and support dogs in need. I hope to share this incredible breed while teaching my kids compassion, responsibility, and the circle of life. 🐾🤍What makes your program special?
What makes our program special is our focus on the whole dog. Our Pugs are health and temperament tested, with an emphasis on sound structure, breathing, confidence, and trainability. We value sport potential and raise puppies with exposure to children, dogs, cats, new environments, sounds, and everyday life—right alongside our family. 🐾🤍What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Heather
Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Heather partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price
“The price includes AKC registrations, first round of vaccinations and deworming, puppy socializing and age appropriate training. Also all puppies go home with a care package. All of the puppies are the same price regardless of sex or color. They will all be AKC registered, microchipped and have had an initial vet visit.”

About Mazie
Our dam is an intelligent, confident, and highly social Pug with an excellent temperament and strong desire to work with her handler. She is incredibly handler-focused during training while maintaining the outgoing, friendly personality we value in the breed—she has truly never met a stranger. She is currently working toward her CGC title, with plans to pursue Rally, Agility, and Conformation. Her intelligence, trainability, health, and stable temperament make her an excellent foundation for our breeding program. We look forward to seeing these qualities passed on to her puppies and future generations.

Birdsall Dogs and Discipline reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Pugs.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
