Meet the breeder

I'm Renee S., the breeder behind Bison Ridge Corgis located in Penrose, CO. Since I’m going to breed only one litter a year (possibly 2 os an exception) test them, vet them, get them DNA tested, but most of all love them. I decided 5 years ago to never dock another tail and I've never regretted that decision. They are an obsession and I would't have it any other way.

Q. & A. with Renee

  • Why did you start breeding?

Saw a Disney movie as a child called "Little Dog Lost" and fell in love with the breed. I became completely obsessed with them until I finally was able to have my own male and female and start with the sweetest breed ever.
  • What makes your program special?

Most breeding programs are special, but my pups are family, not a product produced for money. I love them like I was keeping them and cry like a baby when they leave. I have a 3 page application and call for references as well. I will also take my pups back for any reason at any time at any age. They will never go to a shelter.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
