I'm Sarah A., the breeder behind Black Magic Cane Corso located in Fort Scott, KS. We work to produce consistently sound dogs of both health and temperament. We breed primarily for our own program for show dogs and have plenty of companions looking for wonderful pet homes. I am a member of our parent club and serve on 2 boards.
Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
I started with my 1st back in 2013, finish multiple Championships on her and had my 1st litter in 2015. I produced my 1st bred by GCH (Grand Champion) from that litter. Since then I have accomplished many championships and I am involved very much in the show community.
What makes your program special?
All of my dogs come from CH /GCHs DIRECTLY (sire or dam) and/or are CHs themselves as well. I'm also well versed on breed standard, training and showing my own dogs to their titles.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

About Cake
Cake is a granddaughter of my original foundation from back in 2013. Cake is going on three years old and has had one litter of nine. She has hip elbow, heart patella, and is clear for all genetic disease diseases via embark.. She’s a very sweet dog with our girls, but she is a rowdy party girl with our other dogs! She has good prey drive but not the best defense drive. I was able to bring her within a couple points of her championship but she would rather be a farm dog.
Excellent health testing
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), +1 more.

Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dental-skeletal-retinal anomaly (DSRA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Dedicated breeder that loves her pups. Informative and supportive through the whole process. Excellent temperament and absolutely stunning parents and puppies!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
