I'm Eunice W., the breeder behind Blackberry Farm Cockers located in Roanoke, WV. For our Loving & Faithful Fans: We have moved out of Richmond to the Mountains! We enjoy raising quality AKC Cocker Spaniels near Burnsville, WV. We have about two litters of purebred American Cocker Spaniels a year with the three sweet parents as our pets. We prefer to place our puppies with new owners who have had cocker spaniels before and who know how to provide them with a quality home. Our puppies are purebred American Cocker Spaniels. They all come with full breeding rights and they are up-to-date on their vaccinations and deworming's. They also come with all their vet records, a health guarantee, AKC registration paperwork, Pedigree for the litter and a bag of their current puppy chow. We have partnered with American Kennel Club for 16 years. Our girl pups are normally $2400 and our boy pups are $1800. Only a $400 Deposit to hold one for you until adoption.

Why did you start breeding?
Cocker Spaniels are my passion and we love this breed. We had people coming back to us again and again asking for our cocker pups.What makes your program special?
Our black and tan pups are outstanding in their markings and history. We have owned this line of pedigree for four (doggy) generations now.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, buff, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Eunice

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Eunice partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“This price includes vet fees, reservation fee of 400, all deworming's, all registration paperwork, and a baggy of puppy chow on take home day. Our deposit reserves the puppy you requested.”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
